The Redoubt Bar and Eatery was born in June 2006 after Jacob and Kelly Henderson had served their 'Apprenticeship' by leasing The Redoubt in Te Awamutu for three years previously.
They identified a need in Matamata for a dynamic, community focused Bar and Eatery in this thriving town. On the back of strong local support, a popular stopping point for travellers and Hobbiton tourists, The Redoubt has established itself as a must for those in Matamata.
